We all have our favorite hang-outs. What's yours?
Took this shot of a Florida beach crab hanging out at his favorite hole in the sand one day (tweaked with oil paint effect).
AM3 Community: You are the best! Thanks to all for any and all comments made here this past week. When shared, our skills and our insights, our ups and our downs, are great encouragements for all of us to become the best photographers we can be. I salute each one of you and say again, "Thanks!"
Please pray for Bella.
Bella Update: 10/7/08, It's a happy and energetic Tuesday for Bella; she was raring to go this morning. We had our walk, breakfast as usual on what has started as a cool, breezy day. She goes to see her doggie cardiologist again on October 14th. God's good blessings and answers to prayer are our hope.
Bella's miracle, the one we're all praying for, is still a day by day process; it may take a bit of time for completion. Bella's battle for life, wellness, and needed healing for her heart isn't a sprint but a long-distance run. Bella and I thank you for joining her prayer "team" around the world. Each of you are truly special blessings to us.

Nice capture.

@Saed: Appreciate the comment.
Great shot...amazing you were able to get such a close shot...they are pretty quick and I can never get a decent shot!

@Jen: Thanks. I think the trick is to not cast a shadow in their direction, and move slowly. They are tuned in to shadows and fast movement. Other than that, it's all just luck and zoom. Keep trying.
Fabulous pic!

@virginia: Thank you for commenting. BTW, I thought your shot today was really nice and had a dash of good humor added, to boot.
Grow 'em big for the plucking down in Bradenton? Great take.

@Rebel Streetshooter: Lol. Thanks! You should see the ones that got away...
Aww, your crab almost appears to look a bit camera shy. Love the shot!

@Pedro Lírio: Many thanks, my friend.
Interesting that I should move from your comment on my pic to this pic when just yesterday I was out taking photos of crabs myself --among other things.

@Twelvebit: :-) Many times I notice some pix posted here echo something I am photographing, or have been thinking about photographing. I'll look forward to seeing your crab shots when you post.
Cool shot of a not so attractive animal. Whoever was the first person to eat these must really have been hungry!!

@Dawn Sutherland: Probably starving. Actually I don't know of any humans who eat these particular little guys -- hardly any meat, not much more than a couple of inches total size, most much smaller.
what a creative shot!
