Lesion

The ravages of age and weather is showing on our wooden deck; the white paint spot next to the hole is there marking this as a site for hoped-for future "surgical" repair by a carpenter. But the white paint almost seems like a light hi-lite in this photo.

In our own lives, those areas for self-improvement we all have, quietly marked inside -- are they hi-lites for hope and change, or are they just continuing to slowly decay?
